Daily Trust Foundation Trains Journalists on Investigative Reporting

The Daily Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Media Trust Limited, publishers of Daily Trust titles, on Monday, March 24, 2025, began a three-day investigative reporting training for senior journalists and editors drawn from several media houses across the country.

The training which held in Abuja, was organized to provide editors with skills for rigorous, ethical investigative reporting, ensuring impactful, accurate journalism that holds government accountable.

In his remarks, the chairman, Board of Trustees, Daily Trust Foundation, Malam Bilya Bala, urged the participants to develop the habit of doing investigative stories needed to hold government to account.

Abubakar, Director, Post-Graduate Studies at City, University of London, Amina Yuguda, Head of Documentary Production, Trust TV, Damilola Ojetunde, Data Editor, British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) Africa, Kehinde Ogunyale, Data Analyst, Dataphyte, Idris Akinbajo, Managing Editor, Premium Times, and Barrister Mojirayo Ogunlana, Executive Director, DigiCivic Initiative.

The participants were selected from the following media organizations: Daily Trust, TrustTV, Trust Radio, Unity FM, Leadership, Sawaba Radio, Daily Nigeria, Freedom Radio, Authority, and Daily Asset.
